The Empty Analysis - A Data Lesson for Vietnamese Football

On the night of July 1, 2026, at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Spain left the World Cup after losing a penalty shootout to Russia. Koke missed the fourth spot kick, the clock stopped at 120 minutes, and a 3-4 scoreline was printed on the scoreboard. I did not write in my notebook: "Spain lost on penalties." I wrote: "Spain lost because of many small accumulated decisions before that." From that night, I developed a habit of recording from the field: using time, distance and touch frequency instead of emotions.
